It also received recognition from the Virginia Chamber of Commerce (Fantastic 50) and Washington Business Journal (Fast 75) for growth this year.

In March, the Washington Business Journal honored Karsun Solutions CEO Sundar Vaidyanathan with a leadership award. Sundar along with co-founder Kartik Mecheri have lead Karsun throughout this explosive ten year growth period. They both sought opportunities to engage employees as the firm scaled. Together they host monthly Coffee with Leadership events and Orientation Q&A sessions. Then this fall the Northern Virginia Technology Council named the organization to its Tech 100 list. This is a list of the most innovative firms in the region. The Innovation Center has a new permanent home and training facility at Karsun’s recently opened Herndon headquarters. The center plans to roll out a number of new initiatives for Karsun employees and the IT community in 2020.

Karsun Solutions’ bold approach to business lies in continual reinvestment in innovation resources and professional development programs. In the firm’s early days, leadership dedicated resources to building out the Karsun Innovation Center (KIC), an in-house research and development unit. Using this method Karsun established a capabilities-driven approach to growth, solidifying their Modern Software Development, Cloud Solutions, and Advanced Analytics offerings.
The KIC takes research and development beyond prototyping and into process improvement. The KIC embeds subject matter experts into delivery teams and implements Karsun Academy, a professional development program. Training is designed to support specific customer engagements, pre-emptively responding to opportunities to deliver high-quality solutions to customers.
