Jyothi Salibindla, a Senior Software Engineer at Karsun Solutions, recently gave two talks on the power of microservices to drive adoption of Modern Software Development practices. On January 26th, she presented at the Wonder Women Tech Washington, DC Global Summit. This intimate one-day event featured C-Suite executives, innovators, and thought leaders. The following day, January 27th, she presented on Microservices Architecture Methodology at IEEE’s Women in Engineering Technical Talks.
In her presentation, Salibindla, attributes the rising popularity of microservices to evolving trends in software development and management practices. Organizations implementing Agile methodology, DevOps culture, Cloud Solutions, Linux containers, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices are empowered by microservices’ composable, independently deployable, fine-grained modules which scale up and down, vertically and horizontally. Leveraging microservices organizations see gains in deployment, manageability, and speed to market.
Jyothi Salibindla is a Senior Software Engineer at Karsun Solutions. With an extensive expertise in all facets of the J2EE/BPM lifecycle, she played a critical role in the success of several Agile BPM implementations. She spearheaded complex cloud to cloud integration strategies and solution architecture touching multiple internal and external systems.
Karsun Solutions’ Jay Kondapalli has graduated from the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council’s (ACT-IAC) 2017 Partners Program. The yearlong program prepares senior executives for leadership within their organizations. As a Partner, Jay follows in the footsteps of prior Karsun ACT-IAC Fellows including Co-Founder Sundar Vaidyanathan (2010), COO Terry Miller (2010), Badri Sriraman (2015), Rajaji Bellamkonda (2016), and Juan Robles (2017).
In June, Mr. Kondapalli was announced as the Program Manager for the $110 million General Services Administration (GSA) CAMEO Small Business contract. Prior to joining Karsun Jay held leadership positions at Booz Allen Hamilton and Unisys Corporation supporting the delivery and operations for multiple complex applications in GSA Federal Acquisition Service. He was involved in the Acquisition Process Improvement (API) and IT Alignment Project that maximizes the effectiveness of GSA’s offerings to help its customers in acquisition. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in India and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ- The Federal Aviation Administration William J. Hughes Technical Center awarded a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract to Herndon, Virginia based Karsun Solutions. With a $145 million ceiling value and a five-year period of performance, the contract provides technical support services in support of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Office of Information Technology (FAA AIT). These Software Solution Delivery support services assist in the implementation and continuing support of enterprise-wide software application and database development. Karsun will also perform maintenance related activities related to solution development and the sustainment of existing systems.

This summer Karsun employees were treated to several surprises throughout the month of August. Karsun hosted a freshly pressed juice bar. The bar, put together by the Karsun Wellness Team, also included healthy recipes and lifestyle information.
Wellness Team activities are one of the many ways Karsun Solutions encourages employees to live a healthy lifestyle. Karsun offers rewards/discounts through their medical provider, Cigna. Some of the discounts include gym memberships, tobacco cessation, and mind/body wellness services. Karsun families returned to Ticonderoga Farm for our annual company picnic. This year the Karsun crew and their families were treated to snow cones, sweets, and a fajita fiesta! After lunch Co-Founder and Chief Architect, Kartik Mecheri and COO, Terry Miller said a few works then announced Jay Kondapalli as the new CAMEO Small Business Program Manager. Adults and children alike could then choose between a variety of activities on the farm including face painting, relay races, a cricket match, hayrides and more. Families formed teams to complete a farm-wide scavenger hunt. Scavenger hunt prizes were awarded by the GoLean.io and Karsun Innovation Center team.
The company picnic is one of two yearly events Karsun holds to celebrate families. In April Karsun hosts Take Your Child to Work Day. This year’s event emphasized Digital Citizenship and Internet Safety. Work-life balance and personal growth are key components to Karsun’s corporate culture. He brings over 19 years of experience leading and developing solutions to modernize enterprise-wide IT strategy/systems that are scalable for enhanced performance aligned to business missions. Jay is responsible for providing the technical strategy and the overall delivery for multiple application portfolios. He is also responsible for modernizing and streamlining the portfolio by providing cloud solutions, software development services (Agile, DevOps practices, Microservices) and leading teams that support large IT transformation efforts.
