Karsun Solutions was awarded a five-year prime contract with a ceiling value of $110 million by the General Services Agency (GSA), Federal Acquisition Systems (FAS), under the CIO Application Maintenance, Enhancements, and Operations Small Business (CAMEO SB) contract. Karsun Solutions provides comprehensive transformation management support to General Services Administration (GSA) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to modernize and streamline the GSA Federal Acquisition Services (FAS) portfolio, reduce the dependencies where possible of systems and environments, and to improve efficiencies and align the application portfolio with the business needs of the organization. HERNDON, VA – Karsun Solutions was awarded a $75M five year subcontract by Lockheed Martin in support of the General Services Agency (GSA), Federal Acquisition Systems (FAS), under the CIO Application Maintenance, Enhancements, and Operations Large Business (CAMEO LB) contract. Under this contract, Karsun provides services for application modernization, cloud migration, application development, enhancements, maintenance, DevOps services and database management services. The scope also includes strategic consulting services to realize GSA’s vision of Common Acquisition Platform (CAP) that seeks to provide Government-wide transactional data and reduce the costs of operating redundant acquisition systems.

In November 2013, the Karsun Solutions team was awarded a SeaPort-e IDIQ contract with the U.S. Navy to provide professional support services in multiple functional areas including Engineering and Program Management. SeaPort-e is the Navy’s electronic platform for acquiring support services in 22 functional areas including Engineering, Financial Management, and Program Management.

The Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research, the U. S Marine Corps, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) compete their service requirements amongst 1800+ SeaPort-e IDIQ multiple award contract holders. The SeaPort-e portal provides a standardized, efficient means of soliciting offers from amongst the diverse population of large and small businesses and their approved team members.

All task orders are competitively solicited, awarded and managed using the SeaPort-e platform. Since nearly 85% of its contract–holders are small businesses, the SeaPort-e approach to acquiring services supports the companies fueling the Nation’s job growth engine.

DHS established the BWS Balanced Workforce Assessment Tool (BWAT) to undertake a thorough, repeatable, risk analysis to make workforce-planning decisions. DHS’ BWS System is part of an enterprise-wide transformation effort involving improvement of the BWS business processes and new software development. Karsun Solutions programmed, tested, and deployed the BWAT and built the associated secure rules engine that powers its decision analysis workflow. Karsun integrated them using Microsoft technologies comprising of Sharepoint, InfoPath and SQL Server Reporting Services.
